Kick-Ass - Mark Milliar / John Romita Jr.

Title: Kick-Ass (2010)
ISBN: 978-0-7851-3435-0
Fiction / Graphic Novel
Author: Mark Milliar / John Romita Jr.
Marvel Publishing Inc.
Review: I've never been into reading graphic novels, but that changed when I read Kick-Ass.

It KICKS ASS!

I watched the movie before reading the boo. The movie was great, but the story-line in the book is much better. It is much more violent and adult oriented, the art-work is great and it is very easy to follow. Hell, I even learned a new term... "TUNK" (Just read the book)

The Simpsons/Futurama - Crossover Crisis

Title: The Simpsons/Futurama - Crossover Crisis (2010)
ISBN: 978-0810988378
Fiction / Graphic Novel
Abrams Comicarts
Author: Ian Boothby
Artist: James Lloyd
Review: This is the first Graphic Novel (If you can consider it that) I have ever read. Being a Simpsons fanatic and one that likes Futurama I decided to give it a try. The animation was great, but I really didn't dig story-line... I felt like the writer didn't know where to take the story and he just pulled cheap ideas out of his arse. This book was reminiscent of the last few seasons of the show, the animation gets better, but the stories get worse. I think it's time for "The Simpsons" to be put to rest.

Life - Keith Richards & James Fox

Title: Life (2010)
Author: Keith Richards & James Fox (Contributor)
ISBN: 978-0-316-03438-8
Non Fiction / Autobiography
Little, Brown And Company
Review: I came to this book with great expectations and I wasn't disappointed.

In the book, Keith details everything from how the band came to be to how they manage to keep going for nearly 50 years. He describes his song writing techniques and reveals the stories that lead to him and Mick Jagger to write many of them. Best of all were the behind the scene stories that describe what happened during Keith's life when he wasn't on-stage. His fights with other band-members, his drug addiction days and his flings on the road.
I feel that Keith uses this book to remind his followers that he's as responsible for The Rolling Stone's success as Mick ever was. I'm glad I read the book, it made me fall in love with "The Stones" early work all over again... I just hope they're around for many years to come.
